I want transparent decisions, public input, and fair deals for Meade County and Radcliff.
What happened with the data center
Without exception, any proposed project for District 27 demands transparencyIn October 2025, a proposal to rezone agricultural land for a data center was placed on a Monday meeting agenda with very little notice. As a member of the Meade County Planning and Zoning Commission, I learned about it only 2 days beforehand—and first saw the details on Facebook.
More than 500 residents showed up to voice their concerns. Not a single speaker supported the proposal. The community deserved a transparent process, with clear information shared well in advance—not a hurried meeting in the middle of the workday.
Why this matters
Decisions that reshape our county—how we use our land, build infrastructure, and spend public money—must be made openly, with plenty of time for public review and comment. Rushing controversial proposals erodes trust and leaves residents feeling that decisions are being made for them, not with them.
What I’ll do differently
I believe residents deserve to know what's being proposed before decisions are made—not after. I'll insist on clear public notice, accessible information, and meaningful opportunities for people to speak up. Whether it's a data center or another major development, the public deserves a seat at the table from the beginning.
